Eugenio María de Hostos High School

Club CIM of the Eugenio María de HOstos High School officially started in September 2005 after Marisol Colón Láncara, High School Chemistry Teacher, attended the High School Teachers Summer Project last summer. 

Before she began doing research based on nanotechnology concepts she decided to bring one of her students, Nayomi Plaza, to participate in another project at the Science of Materials Lab during summer.  Her interest was so enthusiastic that soon another student, Coraly Sotomayor, entered the research program on July.

Thence this pioneers decided to form part of the formation process that will take place during the first months of the semester.  Soon a logo was selected, a high number of students were interested in the Club and the members of the directive were chosen.
