General Objectives

• Provide faculty with interactive research opportunities in MSE
• Promote collaborative professional growth of participating faculty
• Support creating a MSE graduate program in Puerto Rico
• Expose Hispanic students to research in state-of-the-art MSE laboratories
• Raise awareness of MSE opportunities amongst participating engineering students
• Expand the education of students by stressing robust communication skills
• Raise awareness of MSE issues among the UPRM student population
• Raise awareness of MSE issues among K-12 teachers
